This
is Natalie and Emma. They are three-year-old domestic short hair
tuxedo females. I rescued them when they were five days old. Their
mother died after giving birth to them. I brought them home thinking
I could keep them until they were eight weeks old then find a loving
home for them. But by the end of the first week in caring for these
babies, I knew there was no way I could part with them, and I wasn't
going to separate them. I found that loving home and it was here with
us. We fell in love with these girls and they are members of our
family. These are our first cats, and we had no idea how wonderful
the feline family is. We are the lucky ones!
Natalie is definitely the alpha cat in this home. She is very
demanding and usually gets her way. She "converted" my
husband from disliking cats to an adoring father. They are pretty
much inseparable when he is home. She has several toy balls that she
brings to us and wants to play fetch. Her favorite pastime is sitting
by the front door and watching the birds and chattering. She is very
secure in her pecking order but grooms and is very affectionate with
her siblings. She is a sweetheart and we adore her.
Emma is a sweet natured cat. She loves to eat dry food and refuses
the canned food. She purrs very loudly and makes sure she doesn't get
far from me. She brings her toys to me meowing very loudly with them
in her mouth. She is my best pal. We were always dog lovers and had
no idea what pleasure was in store for us with these kittens.
