Schatzi's
a special kitty because he showed up on my doorstep when he
was just a little kitten, looking thin and neglected, meowing and
carrying-on as if he hadn't been fed in weeks. Of course, once I fed
him the first time, it was all over! Little did I know then, that his
constant meowing was just part of his personality! To this day, he
still meows incessantly when it is feeding time -- and he thinks it
is always time to eat!
Schatzi is a very affectionate and vocal long-haired kitty. He lives
to get into mischief! He follows me around like a puppy-dog and loves
to watch me do laundry. He will sit on the side of the washer and
watch it fill up with water as I put the clothes in. When it starts
agitating, he is fascinated, and occasionally likes to try and touch
the filter with his front paws! He often likes to bring me his
"trophies" (much to my dismay) of birds and mice, mostly
while they are still alive. ;-( He will sit outside the screen doors
with the animal in his mouth. When I start hearing the repeated
muffled meows, I know I'm not going to like what I see. He will not
stop meowing until I come over and acknowledge his "gift."
All in all, though, he is a wonderful cat. He is more like a dog than
a cat at times because he always comes when I call him, he follows me
around outside the house, and loves to be pet like a dog -- being
thumped on his hindquarters! He is definitely one of a kind!
