We
found Asparagus in a playground - a little girl found her there,
when Asparagus was about three months old, but since she couldn't keep
her, we adopted her, and called her Asparagus - simply because it has
a nice ring to it. Later, we found we're not so original: T.S. Eliot
already wrote about a (male) cat named Asparagus, in his "Old
Possum's Book Of Practical Cats." Asparagus has been with us ever
since: three apartments, and almost eight years. She really likes sleeping in
high places - on the closet or the bookcase, but the best place is on
the old record player we have. She dislikes small dogs - actually,
she dislikes all dogs, but she fears the big ones, so she attacks
only the small ones...
