They
are the best of friends but are very jealous of each other. They
fight in the day and groom and sleep together at night. Pumpkin-head
is also a thief and steals everything in site. Pipsqueak likes to
bite holes into water jugs and watch them drain Both are adopted from
the SPCA.
Pipsqueak was adopted because she was so gentile and sweet. Well, she
grew up to be a terror! She rules the house! Also, my wife selected
her because she curled up on he lap when we were at the SPCA. My wife
wanted a lap cat. Now she spends every evening on my lap and won't
sit on my wife. Surprise---She is the orange and white one. We named
her Pipsqueak because she was so small and scrawny when we got her.
Now, she is closed to 10-lbs and solid. She also goes by Felicity
because she is a gentile lady when she wants something. She likes to
roll all around the house and sleep on our legs. She has a very
extensive dialect. Several times while my wife and I talk we need to
speak up because she won't stop talking. She loves to be held and
scratched and demands attention. She also will knock anything off of
the counter and will thoroughly smell everything she sees.
Pumpkin-head (striped with an orange blotch on her head) is very shy,
hates to be held, but loves to be scratched. I think she may have
been abused because she dislikes being held or approached so much.
But, she does love to be scratched. They have several toys but only
really will play with string. Pumpkin-head likes to sleep up high
above the kitchen cabinets. She is not too bright and tends to get
tangled in the blinds and fall a lot. Because of this we also call
her Ker-plunkin! She also roams the house and occasionally yelps for
no reason.
They are best buddies and are inseparable. We got Pumpkin a year
after Pipsqueak because Pipsqueak started sneaking up behind me and
biting me on the face. I thought this may be because she needed
feline companionship. She hasn't bitten me since we got Pumpkin!
