Percy
is a twenty-one-month-old, female, British Brown Tabby, of
medium length coat, bright green eyes and living in Manning, South
Carolina. We adopted Percy just two days after losing our
fifteen-year-old cat, Ming. The grief was horrendous! But we went to
the SPCA, looking for another male kitten who needed us. Little did
we know that we had adopted an eight-week-old female with a pretty
severe upper respiratory infection. Percy did indeed need us, for she
most likely would have been put down before she infected the entire
kennel. We made five trips to the vet in her first six days with us!
When it came time for our supposed "male" kitten to be
neutered, we noticed that a rather important part of the anatomy was
missing! I called my vet and expressed my concern.
"Congratulations, it's a girl!" We opted for spaying
instead, worked on our gender pronouns and are proud of our little
girl. And she really is all girl. Percy's favorite moments are
sitting on her window shelf, fussing at birds and squirrels and
playing Cat Dancer and fetch. She does not like others playing with
her toys. She is our love!
