Mickey
is about ten years old. I say "about" because we don't know for
sure. He showed up one day unannounced, looked over the accommodations and liking
what he saw decided to stay for a while. This was in 1990 at our home in
Columbus, Georgia. In 1991 we moved to Boca Raton, Florida and Mickey reluctantly
came along, hating to leave all his girl friends in Georgia, but has adjusted
well to sleeping in the Florida sun all day and playing with his "pet"
a "Havana Brown," mixed breed kitty from Cuba named Rooney. Mickey is a
"ledge cat." He loves sleeping on any ledge he can find, the top of the
refrigerator, top of the bookshelf, top of the TV or anyplace where he can look
down on us mere humans.
