Hello,
my name is Elliott. It was originally Elvis, but neither me,
my mom, nor my dad liked it. Besides, I think Elliott suits my
sophisticated nature better. My parents rescued me from Citizens for
Humane Action, a no-kill shelter in Columbus, Ohio. The first day I
met my mom I left a three inch gash in her leg - you see, I wasn't
used to being held and no one had trimmed my nails. She still has a
scar and I feel bad, but now I get my nails trimmed regularly.
My favorite activities include sitting in my window hammock, lounging
on our patio (my parents built a gate at our apartment just for me!),
and standing on my parents while they sleep and purring to wake them
up. At fifteen pounds, I always wake them up! I'm a "big kitty"
and like to show off by leaping from the ground to the top of the
fridge and from the bed to the shelf in the closet. I also like to
take potshots at the guinea pig, Noble. He doesn't have great
eyesight so he doesn't see my lightning quick white paw coming at
him, but then I get yelled at. After two years with my parents they
have learned a lot; like when I want treats and not to move when I
sleep on their legs. My dad had never owned a cat and now enjoys
animals of the feline persuasion. My mom likes to brag about me and
sends lots of pictures of me to my grandma.
You can see the rest of my family at
my website.
