ZouZou
joined our household when she was only eight weeks old. I was
determined to find a kitten after Christmas. After searching far and
wide for a month and hearing countless times, "You won't find a
young kitten at this time of year." I was feeling quite
discouraged. Then, out of routine, I checked the ads in the morning
paper. I did a double take when I saw this ad: kittens, eight weeks,
to loving homes. I called the number, nervously, and yes, they still
had two kittens left. I arranged to go over to the house, which was
all of two miles from my own - ironic considering I'd racked up
hundreds of miles the previous weekends trying to find the right
kitten. The tailless, gray eyed puff ball I brought home in January
has turned into a wisecrackin', lip smackin' amber-eyed bug eatin'
marvel. ZouZou is as endearing as her photos suggest, and she knows
no fear when it comes to play time. Her leaps could make a record
book, but her landings, well, whoever said cats always land on their
feet never met Zou.
