Midnight
found us. We were at our cottage and we saw something walk past
the patio door. When we opened the door in strolled this five month old
kitten who did not seem a bit shy. We gave him some water and Cheerio's
as that was all we had suitable for a kitten. We thought that we would
take him to the local Animal Shelter as we had other kittens we had
found on our property. As we proceeded to pack the car he curled up on
the couch next to my son. My son had his arm crooked on the arm of the
couch and Midnight nestled in that curve. Every time he would move his
arm, Midnight would take his paw and gently pull his arm back around
him. My son said "Mom, I don't think we can take him to the Pound.
I think that he is a keeper." Needless to say we brought him home.
He is the most gentle docile animal you could ask for with lots of
personality. He hates it when other animals come in our yard and growls
at them from the window. (He is an indoor cat). He loves to ride in the
car and look out the window. When it is our regular time to get up in
the morning, he promptly hops on the bed and talks to us until we get
up. He is truly part of our family. We recently found out that he has an
enlarged heart and he needs to take several types of medicine to help
him live a normal life. How could you not love that face?
Midnight lost his battle with heart disease at the tender age of 2-1/2.
This is in memory of the wonderful love and laughter that he brought to
our lives.
