Salty
was adopted from a shelter in Boston when he was only four weeks
old. He was found in an abandoned building during one of the worst snow
storms Boston has seen. He only weighed ten ounces when we got him, and
needless to say, he was a very sick kitty. Because he was so young,
Salty didn't really walk or run - he hopped! That's how he got his name
- Saltamontito (which means "little grasshopper" in Spanish).
For short, we call him Salty. Salty is special to me because he is a
survivor. He had a rough beginning, but you would never know it to look
at him now. I think the most distinctive thing about Salty is the stripe
on his nose. He looks like a wild one, and he certainly is! But he
provides us with so much love.
