Our
cat's name is Sophie. She is about one and a half years old and is a
Domestic Short Hair. Sophie came to us through the Humane Society. She
had been in the system most of her life. The first thing that attracted
me to her was her friendliness. She was the only one who came up to the
edge of the cage to be petted. Now that she is at ease living with us,
we have found out just how friendly she is. She doesn't like to be
picked up, but will lay on you on her terms. She has adopted our
daughter's fuzzy pencil top as her favorite toy and will throw it up in
the air and do all sorts of strange turns while playing with it. She is
a joy to watch when she plays. She is still a baby (at heart) and will
play with just about anything that moves in her line of sight. She is a
very welcome addition to our family and we look forward to many years
with her around.
