This
is a picture of "Nonose" my little boy who is one of the
lights of my life. He is a Himalayan or a Himalayan mix as far as we
know, he isn't registered or anything and hasn't been entered in any
kind of a cat show and has to be the sweetest kitty on earth. He has
dreams of one day being in a kitty calender like the workman's calender.
He's so very smart and acts more like a fuzzy person instead of a kitty.
This was Nonose posing for his little Christmas picture, what a ham!
Nonose is so special to us because for one, he is the first kitty we
have ever had. Spoiled Beyond grandmothers spoiling grandchildren! What
we didn't realize until later was how much our spoiling taught Nonose.
Do cats come to you when you call them? Absolutely! Nonose knows when we
are telling him something - such as Nonose, it's time to go to bed-with a
Boom he is in bed before I can turn off the lights. He knows vet and
will willingly crawl into his carrier - which is amazing. He knows over
50 phrases that we have realized and our favorite command is Go Get
Jarod, Go Get Beep, Go Get Skootie, Go Get V.J. When you tell him to do
this, he will seek out the right kitty, and make them stop what trouble
they are about to get into. He starts with a coaxing sound and some
strange body language and if that doesn't work, he will nudge them off
the counter or whatever they are getting into at the time. His little
nickname is Moochie because he just has to participate in everything
from opening the mail to retrieving his own Christmas presents out of
the Stocking made especially for him, to anything we eat which includes
strawberries, bananas, peaches, spinach, broccoli, french fries,
tomatoes, asparagus, green beans, sugar cookies, slurpees juices and
small treats of yogurt now and then and those are only a few of the
things he loves to eat. If we didn't know better, we would have to swear
he's a vegetarian. He teaches and "mothers" all of our other
kitties which is really fascinating. When we rescued his little brother,
Jarod, he was so tiny and frail. Nonose took him in right away and did
everything a mother cat would. He bathed him, he taught him how to use
the litter box, he let him suckle on his belly hairs, he taught him how
to play and Nonose even carried him from place to place when the
doorbell rang. Nonose's favorite game is a childhood game we all
remember - Hide and Go Seek. When you say Where's Nonose?! He will run
and hide until you find him and then when you do, he's off to hide
again. We have learned to close doors to parts of the house so we can
find him. His favorite past time is watching cartoons, sleeping under
the covers, helping the human children play video games and running all
over the house on his new catwalk that Daddy built from a book called
Cat's House. His favorite Toys are the other kitties and he is best at
warming our hearts until we melt with overflowing kitty love. This is
only a small portion of our everyday life with him and it has been
nothing but headbutts and purrs!
