Toonces
(a.k.a. "Toony") was named after a Saturday Night Live
skit entitled "Toonces, the Cat that Could Drive!" Toony is a
real loner. The presence of other cats caused her such anxiety that she
would spend most of her time hanging/resting on the top of our kitchen
door. Realizing that she would never find much happiness in our
multiple-cat environment, we asked a friend if he would adopt her into
his feline-free home. He agreed, and they have since become extremely
fond of each other. Toony is now very laid-back, mellow, and thoroughly
enjoying her new "only-child" status.
