This
is my cat, Vada. We acquired her when she was about one year
old. Now she is six. She was very skittish for a couple of years, but
with very much loving care and gentleness, I taught her to shake
right and left and roll over. She comes running when I call her
(although she runs like a priss). I think she is quite photogenic.
Her only drawback is that she doesn't like my husband. She will leave
the room as soon as he walks in, but I can pick her up and hold her
like a baby. I am not sure why she doesn't like my husband. He has
tried to be a friend to her, but every once in awhile, she just sees
him, hisses and runs away. She had a male owner before us, whom she
loved, and he had a roommate who didn't like Vada at all. He had his
own cat. We suspect that the roommate wasn't very nice to her. The
owner's girlfriend named her from the movie, "My Girl",
with McCauley Culkin, and Anna Chulmsky. The little girl's name was
Vada.
