Snickers
was always a shy cat and acted like a kitten her whole life.
She lived for 18 years. When she was very young she used to hide behind
the drapes and we would have to drag her out to be with people. When she
was about a year old she went to the house next door that had a swamp
cooler with an opening in the top. She jumped up on the cooler and fell
in. The big drum in the center rotated and she rotated with it and ended
up between the bottom of the cooler and the drum. She was there for two
days before she was discovered. I thought I could hear her little mews
but could not figure out where they were coming from. Thank goodness the
neighbors didn't turn the cooler on with her in there!!
Snickers was a long cat. She measured 38 inches when she was completely
stretched out. She had a long body and short legs. Her long fur made her
look really low to the ground. I felt really sad when we lost her. She
was such a meek and trusting cat.
