We
adopted Pepper from the Humane Society six months ago after Snickers,
our ferret, a very old and dear member of our family, passed away. We
also have a cat, Mr. B, he was very close to Snickers and seemed quite
depressed. We were worried about Mr. B, and my fiance (who is very very
allergic to cats) suggested that we adopt a kitten, hoping that Mr. B
would have a new friend. Pepper and Mr. B took a couple of weeks to get
used to each other, but now they are loving companions and playmates.
Pepper has helped mend all of our hearts. She fills our lives with joy,
love and affection every day.
Pepper is an adorable kitty, however we believe that she may have been a
dog in a past life or that she thinks she's a dog in this one. We bought
her a small mouse shaped toy that rattles, when we throw it she catches
it in mid air and then brings it back and drops it at our feet for us to
throw again, and again, and again until we wear out. She's very social,
and loves to be around us all the time. Pepper loves to talk, once I
found her lying on her back in a patch of sunlight, just talking away.
she talks to us in cute little mews, each one with different voice
inflictions, and when we talk to her she stares at us as if she's
concentrating really hard to understand exactly what we're saying before
she replies. We could go on for hours about what makes her so special to
us, but we could never put into words how much she has meant to our
little family.
