Q-Tip
was a very intelligent cat who understood a number of words and
phrases (e.g. "Get the bug", "Do you want up/down?,"
"Fetch," and more). When she was very small, she played tag
and hide-and-seek with my husband and was even willing to play fetch. Of
course, when she grew up and realized she was a cat for Pete's sake, she
came to her kitty senses and refused to play that game anymore. As a
more mature cat, she preferred to spend most her time riding on my
shoulder. She kept me from being late for work many times when I slept
through the alarm by gently patting my face with her paw (or nibbling my
ear) until I woke up. I could always tell what she wanted just by
looking at her! She was very spoiled (just look at that queenly pose!!)
and was the 'only child' for many years.
