Pumpkin
is special because I found him in the ceiling of all
places, at the shelter for battered women that I worked for. Pumpkin
was abandoned by his mother before being six weeks old. I bottle fed
him and had to carry him to work in a basket during the first week.
The children (and adults) adored this little kitten. Even more, his
"grandmaw paws" has a very special love for him. Pumpkin
isn't much of a hunter, but will take credit for the prey that is
obtained by his sibling. He loves to talk, play in the water, and get
in my face and yawn. Pumpkin's other habit, even after nineteen
months, is to suck his left paw. His life began at the right place,
for the shelter was truly a place for "all" victims of
abuse and neglect!
