Emperor
is a year old. He must be a shorthair as that describes him. He
came from the pound. We live in Florida. When my son was almost eleven,
we moved to a house and for the first time, he was allowed a pet. I went
to the pound and found this kitten purring and happy to see me. He
wasn't the prettiest kitten there but he was the one who stayed by the
front of the cage and wanted to go home with someone. He's affectionate,
brave and a good companion.
Emperor stays outside during the day and greets us by rolling in the
dirt when we come home. The happier he is to see us, the dirtier he
gets. When we hold him and he wants to get away, he purrs insincerely to
put us off guard then he jumps and goes... maybe eight inches away...
stops and grooms himself.
Emperor fetches (he has one cloth ball that he fetches and no
other will do even if it looks identical), sits, shakes and stands when
there is a treat involved. He also likes to play chess. With just one
swat, he can put a bishop under a chair.
