Mordecai Oobee Dobee Tennessee Underwood...(Mordy) This is hard!
What can I say that I am sure every loving cat owner does not also feel?
Mordy has changed our life. Since his arrival, he is the center of our
Universe. Susie & I deeply feel and "know" he is "special". He is so
comfortable and secure in his house environment, that his temperament
and personality are as solid as a rock. He has all the essential cat
senses, but they have never been marred by any negative experiences what
so ever! We raised him up to be his own cat. For sure! Yet he is so
loving and attached to us, the bond can only be described as "family."
In the strictest sense!
Mordy has a special outside world within his domain. Our back yard is
enclosed with high ivy and that couple hundred square feet is "his
personal little jungle". There is no better feeling or time than when he
takes his initial leap out the patio doors and onto the red, sun warmed
concrete. Then going into the obligatory rolling and meowing.
This cat does not do "tricks." He does clever things. He of course has
"special" things that he will only do with either Susie or myself. Like
if I pick him up at any given time. Roll him over on his back and extend
him high up away from my body, stretching out my arms. Mordy will
invariably stiffen and stretch his legs as far as they will go. Holding
that tension until he feels my arms relax. Then, collapse into a soft
ball, cradled in my arms. That's love!
