About Us
Geordie, the Cat of the Day
Name: Geordie
Age: Nine months old
Gender: Male
Kind: British Shorthair
Home: Queensland, Australia

This is Geordie - a British Shorthair who is solid blue/grey in colour. He came to live with us direct from the breeder, has settled in very well and only has to meow to have his every whim catered to. The above picture is Geordie at five months of age. He is now nine months and getting bigger every day (he weighs nearly five kilograms already!).

We think Geordie is special not only because he is a beautiful and loving little cat but a very brave one. He suffers from ear polyps which very soon will have to be surgically removed as they are increasing in size. The vet is trying to avoid surgery until the last resort. The next step is a cat-scan (good name for it!) to check for any other problems, particularly neurological, and then wait for the polyps to grow slightly more so that they can be removed entirely if possible.

Although Geordie has had to bear the pain and aggravation of this he continues to bring a lot of joy to our lives and we hope we can reciprocate and help him to have a long and happy life without any health problems in the future.
