Bob
is our cat. We've had him almost three years and the vet says he's
about four years old. He was a stray when we took him in, left by a
neighbor who moved. To this day we cannot understand why they left Bob
behind. He has been such a great companion!
Bob is a long-haired domestic orange tabby. He's rambunctious - loves to
chase birds, squirrels, bugs. He teases the neighbor's dogs - stands just
far enough away from them (they're tied) and stretches or washes himself.
Bob likes to explore and has taken a ride in the mail truck on more than
one occasion. He almost went for a ride with the UPS man, but we snatched
him just as he was jumping in the truck. He loves to lie down on the papers
we're reading. He loves to catch birds, but we put a bell on his collar to
try and prevent that! He loves to wander, and he still falls for the
shaking of the food to lure him back home. Bob has an independent spirit,
but loves his home where he is king. He has two younger brothers (two feral
kittens we adopted when they were about six weeks old) who made Bob their
surrogate mother. They drive him nuts, but we know Bob loves them. Bob's
world was rocked when our son was born, but he's weathered that storm too.
Bob truly is one of the family!
