This
is my cat Purrless. He is approximately ten years old. He is a white
domestic short hair domiciled in Northern California. Purrless was chosen
by my family as the best cat at the animal shelter. Prior to taking him
home we visited with him on at least three occasions. While it was apparent
that he liked us, he never once purred in our presence. Thus we dubbed him
Purr-less. It was approximately a month later (after his feline cold was
cured) that he proved he could indeed purr. The name (by that time) stuck
as we most often shorten it to just "Purr" anyway. Purrless's
most unique characteristic is his ability to open our front door and leave
the house when it suits him. This may not seem too odd, but it sure
surprised us when he began to knock for readmittance!
