This
is our cow calico named Zena. She is a very unique cat with many
strange quirks. She likes to drink her water from a tall glass every
morning while sitting on the table rather than on the floor out of a bowl.
Her favorite napping place is a window side cat bed on the upper level of
our house. She spends most of her life there. Zena is what you would call a
typical Garfield cat: large, lazy, sassy, and very independent. She loves
to snuggle with people when she thinks they are worthy of her company. One
of the strangest things I have ever seen is how when the little spot above
her tail is scratched, she involuntarily starts biting her arm. Very weird
to see... She loves catnip and has been known to dig in grocery bags in
search of it.
Like most lazy cats, Zena has her special little nap nooks she picks. Piles
of laundry, open dresser drawers, boxes, and basically anywhere she can dig
around and make a nest. As you see in the picture, she loves to rest her
head on things. Anything she finds will do. Books, tissue box, vacuum
cleaner, dog bone laying on the floor, and even a mouse! Despite all her
weird little habits, we all love Zena. She is our little warrior cat and
has had her share of battles with the dog and our other cat Charlie. She
also has a strong interest in smells. Anything new that comes into the
house has to be instantly checked out and approved by her. We like to joke
about her being a dog-cat because of how much she eats and smells things. I
can honestly say she is the weirdest cat we have ever owned. She is her own
cat.
