Morgan
was found ten years ago covered in mud and starving. A wonderful
woman brought her to the vet and offered to pay to save her but said if
she took another animal home, her husband would divorce her. I knew an
employee at the vet and while visiting, I held Morgan and was told that
I was the first person able to calm her down. They had to feed her a
little at a time because she would eat until she would get sick because
she was sure she would starve. It took months to convince her there
would be plenty of food but she never knew cold or hunger or pain for
the rest of her life. She was one of my fur-children until last October
when I lost her to illness. I'll miss her forever and will never forget
the sweet face that stared up at me when I took this picture.
