Offenbach
is a two-year-old Manx cat who was presented to me when he was
about four weeks old by the little girl down the street. Her German
Shepherd had found the kitten in their yard! She handed me this
squalling cream tabby bundle in a towel, and I was surprised to find he
had no tail. This fit in quite well, though, because I have Pembroke
Welsh Corgis, who also are gold-colored and have no tails! Sometimes I
think Offie thinks he's a Corgi, since he grew up with five of them, and
he plays with them just as if he were a member of the "pack."
He sets them up to be ambushed and regularly incites great noisy chases
up and down the hall. Offenbach and the Corgis live in Williston,
Florida.
