Applebee
is three and a half years old. He is an American shorthair cat.
We live together in a happy four cat family in San Jacinto, CA, USA.
When my husband found him, he was a little, malnourished, flea-bitten,
kitty with a tail that had bare bone sticking at the end. His life was
sure to be short if he stayed in that parking lot on a busy city street.
He quickly won our hearts by proving to be a smart, dominate cat with a
mind of his own. He took over top cat position yet with humans he is
tender and sensitive to your emotional and physical ups and downs. I'm
handicapped with serious neurological problems so when I'm sick, he lays
by my left side and gently touches my arm with his nose, gives me a
quick lick, and rests his head on my shoulder to sleep. If I cannot
move, he will struggle to get his head under my arm and try to lift it
up with all his ten pounds can muster. I love this adorable cat. We
lovingly call him "Applestubs" or "Appleboy". His
amputated tail doesn't stop him in the least bit. He is my special
"Applebee". (My husband called from an Applebee restaurant to
ask if he could bring him home so that is how he got his name.)
