About Us
Dos, the Cat of the Day
Name: Dos
Age: Five years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Domestic Long-Hair Orange Tabby
Home: Malinalco, Mexico

This is Dos. I found him sleeping under a bridge aside a big avenue in the huge city of Mexico. I was driving in my car, so I stopped and went to pick him up, it was hard because lots of cars were driving very close to us. When I held him, his big size and tenderness surprised me. Even when I put him in my car, he started kissing my hand, and made it difficult for me to drive. I took him to the veterinary and I was happy to know he was healthy and strong, even though he hadn't eaten for some days. I took him to live with my parents in a beautiful town in the state of Mexico (Malinalco). My father named him "Dos" because he thinks Dos look very much like a supposed kind of "aliens" named like that. Ever since that day he has brought love to my family and me.

We believe Dos used to live with a loving family, because he always shows his love and care to all of us, including his bother "Chester" (another cat that we pick up from a Shelter and looks a lot like Dos but with short hair). Dos got used to the "country life" very soon, and has became great for climbing trees and chasing lizards, he just wants to play with them, but often we have to help the poor lizards out of the "game with our Dos". Let me add that Dos is really the fastest cat we'd ever had. However he hasn't lose his good manners at any moment. He can sit with me at the table and no matter if he is hungry he always behaves properly. But sometimes his good manners don't help him, specially with Chester because often Chester takes over Dos's food and Dos just watches him without complains, is like if Dos understands Chester doesn't have any manners at all.

Dos has a strange habit. He likes to climb to our chests or stomachs when we are lying on the bed and makes a "strange" dance pushing his hands against us, closing his eyes, and sometimes a dropping a little bit of "dribble", we call this dance "The dribble-dance" it's so funny. This is why I always encourage everyone to pick up "homeless" animals, and always tell them about Dos's story and how much we love him. He is one of the most beautiful things that ever happened to me and my family. We always have had cats, but this is the Most Special One, he's definitely our best friend.
