Jane
Ackerman (we called her that because she's an athletic leaper, ala
Tarzan, but she's a girl, so, well, you get it. And the Ackerman part is
a long story.) was a stray. We think she's about 9-10. She is, in the
words of many a vet, a "pretty girl." She falls asleep when you look at
her. She can do (some very minor) tricks. She snores, and if that wasn't
enough (hey, we'd never heard of a snoring cat, and we imagine most of
the rest of the world hasn't either), she is prone to emitting squeaks
like a rusty hinge. Incredibly sweet disposition for a cat that was
abandoned and before that, probably abused, and she was good company for
our other cat, an 18-year-old DSH who just passed away in April. She's
clumsy and somewhat bipolar (one second she's afraid of the pattern in
the linoleum, and the next she's as curious as, well, a cat). We give
her a 9.5 overall.
