These
are my kittens Yin Yang on the right and Worthless on the left.
They are "mutt" kitties. Yin Yang was found living under my
sister's house when she was around six months old. My sister's
rottweiler thought Yin Yang would make a good lunch so we had to get
her out of there. If you look at her chin you can see the yin yang
symbol. That's how see got her name.
About three months later, I decided she was lonely because I was at
work a lot. So I found Worthless at the animal shelter. She was just
eight weeks old and extremely ugly. She is part siamese and her hair
was thin and all over the place. I thought that since I already had
one "ugly" cat, I couldn't get a pretty one. So I picked
her. As you can see, she didn't stay ugly. Worthless got her name,
because her eyes, when she looked at you when she was younger there
this kind of dead stare, you know, the kind you get when you talk to
your kids. She wouldn't go near the other kitten or us. She would just
sit in the corner and stare. Neither of these cats are overly cuddly,
they come over to be petted when they want to. They won't sit on your
lap, but if you don't pay attention when they want attention, they
come will paw at you with their claws out. It doesn't hurt, but it
does get your attention. If I don't get up in the morning to feed
them, they sit by my head and paw me (and they have the automatic
feeder, they just want me to go kick it so they hear food.) These two
finally have gotten to the point where they are inseparable. I don't
know what they would do without each other, or what I would do without
them. They even meet me at the door every day when I come home from
work.
