Hi!
My name is India and you can see how I got my name by looking at
my pictures. When I was a baby I was all dark tabby except for the big
and bright spot on my forehead. Unfortunately, as I've gotten bigger
my spot has gotten small and the color has migrated down my body. My
mommy sometimes comes up and brushes my hair so that she can see my
spot.
I am a kitty everyone dreams of having. I have an awesome
personality... if I do say so myself! I went on a vacation with my
mommy and daddy one time and some lady came over to my carrier and
looked in at me and said "oh! It is only an outside cat!" --
I am not sure what she meant by that, but all I could think of is
"so what if I am not a pedigree, I still am beautiful !!!"
It is what is on the inside that counts, not papers. That lady is the
one that doesn't know a real winning cat! My day consists of many
chores... sleep, cuddle, play, and "guard kitty"! During the
night I cuddle up with mommy and daddy. In the mornings I have my
routine with Daddy, but my main thing to do is guard the back yard
from the "bird invaders" that come to the feeder. I like to
stalk them, but I have yet to catch one. I don't know what I would do
with a bird if I caught one! I love to play chase with my Mommy and
Daddy -- I am the fast one and have great Hiding places! I am a smart
kitty! I know "kitty paw language"! When I want out, I
gently paw at the door and Mommy or Daddy lets me out. I also gently
paw at the covers when I want to get really warm and comfy. If I want
in your lap I make myself at home. Sometimes I have problems with
people sitting in my spot. I take care of that problem by either
jumping in your lap or just staring at you. I am compassionate,
loving, and very playful kitty!
India loves this bunny! She loves to cuddle up to it and sleep. The
day that picture was taken she had just had a bath. The bath ritual is
to: take a bath (not a fun job, but nevertheless eventful... she is
good for the most part), get the floor very wet, cuddle up to Mommy
and get her wet, get dried off with the blowdryer, and then cuddle
with the electric blanket and later with the bunny. She does have many
important duties... that is how she earns her keep! You get the best
of three worlds with her: cuddle/lover, playful (hide and go seek,
chase, and the toys), and a guard kitty... she knows when someone
comes up before I do and she will let me know that someone is here!!!
Oh! she also plays "Mommy" when someone is sick! She is
right by your side comforting you. If you go to the bathroom... she
comes too!
