This
is our kitten Nikki (a.k.a. Lil' Miss Troublemaker, but hey, she
IS a kitten). It is quite an amazing story of how we got her. It all
started the day our other cat named Midnight got put to sleep. We knew
we wanted to get another cat, but we were too sad about Midnight's
death, so we waited for about 3 months before we began our search.
(That is the first amazing thing that took place. She wasn't born yet)
We looked in many shelters but all the cats we wanted were already
adopted. (Another amazing thing.) Then one night about 4 months ago my
dad was coming home from work and there was a traffic jam (amazing
thing alert) so he decided to go to the nearest shelter and see if
there were any cats. He walked in and... Wow ... Radar! He looked
right her and asked a worker if he could hold her, so the worker took
her out and let my father hold her. He asked the lady if she
was adopted, or on hold. She was on a hold and a had a second hold,
too! (Another amazing thing!) My dad put her back in her cage
and called us and told us to come down there A.S.A.P! Soon we were
down there looking at her. When a cat has a hold on it, we have to
wait until 6:00 at night to see if the people come. Guess what? The
people didn't come and, neither did the people who had the second
hold. So we got her! And that is the story of how we got Nikki!
We love her!
