Thor
was adopted at the age of one from the Toronto Humane Society in
September 1999. He chose us - he seduced us with his purring and
playful antics. He is a big cat (close to fourteen pounds and very
long) - too big for the Humane Society boxes - they had to lend us a
cat carrier to take him home!
Thor has very set routines - when we get home, we must pet him, then
give him a cat treat, then a little food, then water (which he only
drinks from the bathtub faucet) and then we must "play
mouse" with him. He gets very upset if the routine is not
followed and reminds us that we have missed a step.
He is incredibly affectionate and has even won over my husband who was
always a dog person. However, he has a temper - if we fail to give
Thor what he believes to be adequate attention, he will
"pretend" chew the phone cord and plant leaves - smacking
loudly to ensure his displeasure is evident. He is a very special cat
and we are thrilled he has come to live with us.
