Koko,
our third cat, makes our family whole with her playfulness...
she also makes a good insect catcher!! Some nights, Koko is sleeping
away on one of our beds, but most of the time, she's off in our
bathroom, or anywhere else in the house, hunting for mosquitos and
moths. After she catches her "prey" in her paws, there is no
other way to get the squished things off, except by licking them. So,
she ends up eating all the bugs in our house, or they all get squished
up on our bathroom floor.
Another cute thing Koko enjoys doing is kissing up to us just to get
more food. If we don't give her her food on the right time, she
squirms all over us as we near the cat food. She purrs, and winds
through our legs just to get the attention of getting what she wants:
food. But in the end, we give in. To thank us for feeding her hungry
stomach, she occasionally comes to us as she eats, purring while
swirling around our legs... and then goes back to her food, doing this
after about every five seconds of eating her food.
One more amazing thing: One day, one of our dogs chased Koko around
our yard, and she managed to escape by jumping over our wall leading
down to a Buddhist temple ten minutes away. She managed to escape by
taking the shortcut there. Amazingly she survived the long drop, and
we rescued her, driving to location, as she was caught in a bush full
of tiny thorns, poor Koko! But she is fine now!
