This
is my cat Jonah. He is a four years old black/gray tabby. He is
such a special cat for so many reasons. The main reason that he is so
special to me is because I actually raised Jonah on a bottle from the
day he was born. He was sick when he was born and his mother deserted
him. I took him in and fed him on a bottle. I did not think he was going
to survive at first because he was so sick and weak. I illegally raised
him in my college apartment. I had to sneak him in and out of the
apartment every weekend when I went back home. Everyone on campus knew I
had a cat except for the Resident Advisor! I feel very close to him
because I have literally been his Mama from day one.
Jonah is no longer the small, sick and weak little kitten that he used
to be. He now weighs over fifteen pounds but is still just as much of a
baby as he ever was. He sleeps with my husband and I every night and now
keeps a close eye on our own baby. This picture of Jonah was taken in
our baby's cradle. Jonah was a bit jealous at first of the new baby but
not anymore. They are getting to be great friends. I know that Jonah
is not a full-blooded cat with papers and all but to us he is worth all
the money in the world. We think he is the greatest.
