The
little guy's name is Reggie. He is three or four weeks old kitten of
unknown origins. He looks like a Himalayan or Ragdoll, but who knows
since he was found alone in someone's backyard in Wilmington, Delaware.
What makes Reggie so special, aside from that face, is that he is my
foster child through the Delaware Humane Association. I and 41 other
people care for kittens, puppies and older animals in our homes until
they are able to go back to the shelter for adoption. But, that won't
happen to Reggie, since the hands you see holding him are the hands of
the woman who will be his new Mom. It took just one look and Reggie was
all hers. And what an addition to her family he will be. Touch him and
he purrs. He loves nothing more than to play with human fingers and lick
human lips. He shows no interest in other cats and falls fast asleep
under your chin, after he's eaten. He's just a tiny kitten but already
he is stalking, doing Halloween cat and attempting to run. I'll miss him
more than anything, but it helps to know he'll be in "good hands."
