Dinky
was born an only child during his humans' absence at a family
reunion in July of last year. Upon their return home, he was found
squirming on the bare floor in the bedroom when his human father went
looking for a pair of suspenders that had fallen behind the old cedar
chest in the bedroom. The nursery box was brought out but his mother,
a small tuxedo of ten years, refused to keep him there: Mama Mitzi
raised Dinky behind the big sofa in the living room. He came out on his
own at age four weeks, unsteady on his legs but determined to explore
every nook and cranny in the house. The other kits quickly accepted
him and helped his mother train him to be just another darling. His
human mother took to calling him Dinky Duck because of his small size.
He is destined to be very small when full grown, so the name
stuck. Dinky is obviously a ham: he insisted on having his picture taken
during a shooting session of items for e-bay.
