Spufi
(pronounced as in Goofy) was born on Thanksgiving Day Nov 2000.
My in laws own a farm and there are several 'Farm' cats that live
there. They receive reasonable basic care. I am always concerned for
them during the cold Winter months, but we can't take them all home,
as we already have two nine year old cats (Mickey and Toby).
Mickey and Toby (they are brothers) are getting up in age. We were
concerned that if something happened to one of them, the other would
be very lonely. So we decided to introduce a third cat to our
household. As we always do on Thanksgiving, we made our trip down to
the in laws farm. Low and behold Thanksgiving day, one of the cats
(Funno) had kittens, she kept them snug and warm (well as warm as
possible) in an old dog house. We decided that when we come back
Christmas, we would take one home. That way,the kittens would have
five weeks with their Mama. Well we went back Christmas and blindly
grabbed one kitten out of the Dog house. I knew which ever one it would
be, would be one 'Very Lucky' kitty indeed, cause its a hard life down
on the farm.
So sweet cute and cuddly... ever since we brought Spufi home he's
been... one absolute terror!! yikes! He's always attacking
something... our feet, an old sock, or one of the other cats. But we
sure do love this little guy. I think he could just play all day. He
likes to sleep and cuddle with my wife. It's funny, whenever he sees
me walk into the room he just starts talking up a storm. Of course I
do whatever I can to 'Encourage' this behavior. He often attacks in
the middle of the night terrorizing the other cats and my wife and I.
We like to refer to these attacks as 'You've been Spuffed!!' We
love this little guy and would sacrifice anything to keep him healthy,
safe and warm. (I wish we could take the rest of those cats home
though... hmm... maybe...).
