About Us
Cody, the Cat of the Day
Name: Cody
Age: Two years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Maine Coon
Home: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Cody is a very special kitty. He is a typical good natured Maine Coon who loves to cuddle with his humans. He has a special fascination with his water bowl and likes to dunk all of his toys in his water bowl after playing with them. I have found everything in there from his krinkle ball toys to feather toys with the stick still attached! He likes to pick up his food with his large paws, one piece at a time. Sometimes he puts his food in his water dish as well. Cody also enjoys playing fetch and wrestling with his brother Seamus.

I have never known Cody to have a grouchy day! He is always happy go lucky, playful and sweet and we feel blessed that he has chosen us for his humans.

Cody is two year old and about 18 pounds but he is still growing. Maine Coons continue to develop until they are three or four years old. His brother Seamus (who is three) is over 20 pounds at three years of age (and very fit -- not overweight). Cody and Seamus are the first two Maine Coons I have ever owned and I am totally sold on this breed! They are truly the gentle giants of the cat world, lovable and intelligent, they are often compared to Labrador Retriever dogs because of their good natured personalities. He is still as sweet as when he was a kitten and is still fascinated by water! We had to buy him a large dog dish so he could dunk his toys in the water. He likes to lay next to the bowl with his paws wrapped around it.

Anyone out there who is a dog lover but lives where they are unable to keep a dog should consider adopting a Maine Coon cat. They are truly the perfect companion animal with many many dog-like behaviors!
