My
husband wanted a cat. I am allergic and was apprehensive. We went
to the shelter and when they sat this beautiful (but a bit bedraggled)
gray and white cat on my husband's lap he asked her if she wanted to
go home with us. She looked up and gave a meow that sounded just like
"Yes!" We were hooked.
We had agreed she would stay in our finished basement during the day
if we weren't home and overnight. Within two weeks she had complete
run of the house, had established her favorite spot on our bed and had
totally won my heart (she already had my husband's.)
Now Lady Edwina spends her days comfortably enthroned on her favorite
chair where she can keep an eye on the various birds, squirrels,
chipmunks, and rabbits that visit her feeder, her evenings playing and
cuddling, and her nights curled up in bed with us.
