We've
had Muffin since November of 2000, she was my nephew's cat, he
had to give her away because of allergies. Muffin is a very sweet,
mild cat, and I just love her eyes. She's scared of loud noises, and
strangers, but she will cuddle sometimes, she loves to be brushed, and
have her head scratched! When we first got her, she was scared and
would hide under the couch most of the time, but soon learned that it
was ok to come out, and now she can be a loving cat. Her favorite
pastime is watching the 'birdies' from the screened-in porch, and she
sometimes watches Animal Planet with me.
Muffin loves to chase the ball, but doesn't bring it back, so her
"human" has to get it back, and throw it again! When she
sees the ball, and I say 'get ready' she crouches down behind her
kitty condo, and then races after it. She loves to play with her toy
fur mouse, and she will bat it under a door then go back and forth
trying to get it out!
When she hears the door bell ring, she knows immediately that a
'stranger' is here, and she will either run under the couch, or slowly
walk to the door to see if someone is really coming into her house,
and when they do, she slinks away, running away with her back low. She
also jumps on the front door when she is ready to come in from the
porch, and if she is not heard the first time she does this, she cries
a meow as she runs past me!
Whenever I am at the computer, she jumps on the back of my chair, and
sleeps there till I leave the room, then follows me. She will usually
sleep at the foot of my bed. Muffin and our other kitty (Cookie) love
to wrestle and chase each other, they play everyday till sometimes the
kitten will bite her, then Muffin hisses and bats at her, and will
walk away!
