About Us
Peanut, the Cat of the Day
Name: Peanut
Age: Five years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Persian
Home: Taipei, Taiwan

This is my cat, as you can see he looks like a blob of peanut butter, that's why we named him Peanut. We rescued him from a local vet where his owner dropped him off saying that he was no longer able to take care of him. When he came home with us, he had no cat manners and was about 30% fatter than he seems in the picture. After a strict diet and a few etiquette classes from his cousin Bubbles, he is now around his ideal weight and a true Aristocat!

Peanut currently lives with his cousin (an odd-eyed white persian named Bubbles, owned by my sister) whom he happened to love chasing around, whenever he's not napping or bored out of his mind. This act of play usually ends with a scuffle and a fur ball storm because he never knew when to stop playing. And since he is always the one to pick the fight first, he usually gets in trouble. This is a routine that happens around a dozen times a day. We don't know how old he is, but guessed that he's around 3-5 years old. Since he came to live with me and sister, it's been wonderful to see how cats interact with each other. Peanut is such a loveable cat that whenever my sister and I come home from school, he's the first one to greet us by the door, usually in a wedged position in the middle of our foyer. We love to pick him up and squeeze him 'til he complains with a loud 'meeeeeeow.'

Peanut is a very trustworthy (fat)cat that the only position you will find him sleeping is the one you see in the picture, sprawled in the middle of any room. Besides that he loves to sleep, he will do just about anything for food, I mean, cat food. This overweight cat won't eat anything but cat food. We have a total of four cats at home, who are all rescued cats. We are so grateful that Peanut came to keep us company, and hope that he will be with us for a long long time.
