We
adopted Stanley from a local animal shelter when he was a
sickly five-month-old kitten. He settled in very quickly and is without a
doubt the strangest cat his adoptive 'parents' have ever seen. He
chews up everything he can get his teeth into (including area rugs and
venetian blinds), he loves the taste of cat repellant, and digs
furiously in his litter box for no reason. He wrestles tirelessly with
our Fox Terrier (and wins), adores car trips, and walks on a leash.
Stanley needs constant attention or he gets stressed-out and sick.
When it became apparent that Jake the dog wasn't enough entertainment,
we adopted a companion kitten for him named Phoebe. She keeps him
busy, but he has still managed to 'adopt' a stray cat that he 'found'
roaming in our yard (now our third cat, named Harvey). Stanley clearly
is not a normal cat - he doesn't even 'meow' like a normal cat
and makes a chirping or trilling sound. And life has been anything but
normal since we adopted him!
