About Us
Seamus, the Cat of the Day
Name: Seamus
Age: One year old
Gender: Male
Kind: Domestic Shorthair
Home: Topsail, Newfoundland, Canada

Seamus is such a special cat because he was adopted from the SPCA. We went with the intentions of getting a female cat because we already had a male cat home. However, when we arrived and looked around, Seamus stole our hearts. We found out that he was left outside the SPCA in a box in the pouring rain, that same day that we came to pick out our cat. The lovely staff at the SPCA told us that he had a hernia and had a little bump on his belly. Well he still has the bump on his belly and he still steals our hearts everyday. He loves to cuddle and chase things, including our other two cats! We love him!!!

Seamus is the most adoring cat I've ever seen. He loves to cuddle and snuggle all the time. His favorite things to do are: chasing a laser light around the house (including up the walls), and waiting by the front window every night for little moths to fly around the porch light. For some reason, Seamus thinks he can catch them through the glass! During the days, he can usually be found lying on his back waiting for you to rub/scratch his belly or playing with our two other cats. If you talk to Seamus with a questioning tone, Seamus will always "meow" back. Since these photos, he's grown up to be nearly 20 pounds. We certainly love him and we're so glad we found him at the SPCA. This past year, Seamus started to have violent seizures. We took him to the vet and they could not find anything wrong. So we and some friends got together and prayed for him, and since then he has been seizure free for nineteen weeks!! He's such a wonderful part of our home, and we love him so much.
