Here
is my cat whom we call Kitty. Kitty was one of an abandoned
litter of kittens that were left outside a restaurant where my
neighbor worked. Her brothers and sisters had disappeared, when
my neighbor brought her to me. The vet estimated her age to be
about eight months at the time. She is very affectionate and feisty
at the same time, also independent as cats usually are. Our home
is near Duluth, Minnesota. One day this winter I let her out to
check out a new snowfall. She was standing on the deck and must
have thought the snow was hard ground, because she jumped down
and her legs sank into the snow up to her shoulders. Her
expression said, "Hmmm, how am I going to get out of this mess?"
Somehow she got back up on the deck after "snow swimming" for
a while!
