Here
is Pitoune. She is a female Korat, which is a breed from
Thailand. She is seven years old but looks like a seven-month-old
kitten. She lives in France and spends the whole day doing bird
watching on the balcony. She is a purring machine and needs a lot of
attention and affection. She loves when we play with her. Her favorite
food is ham but she also loves to eat grated Swiss cheese.
Pitoune is a very loving cat, always after us meowing, asking for us
to take care of her, pet her, talk to her... She acts a bit like a
dog. When we come home after work, she will come to greet us meowing.
Her favorite game is playing with bits of rope. When the rope is
rolled into a ball, she grabs the rope with her mouth, brings it to us
and drops it at our feet to make us understand that she wishes to
play. I had never seen this before and was quite astonished.
Pitoune is not independent at all. She cannot be left alone. We can be
sure that wherever we are, she is always in the same room. Sometimes,
after taking a bath, I find her waiting for me behind the door! She
sometimes even meows out loud for us to get out of there! She has a
basket of her own but she also noticed that it wasn't unpleasant to
sleep on the computer. Another thing she loves is when I make a
"tunnel" with a blanket. Then she goes under and can spend the whole
day sleeping in it.
