Marla
was adopted from a local shelter, and she became sister to my
two other cats. She was so shy it took over a year to be able to pet
her. She keeps me company when I am using the computer. (She is
helping me now as I write this!) She has the most loving personality
and I cannot remember how it was before she became part of the
household! When I first adopted Marla, the shelter said she had been
living in a shack behind a large apartment building. She was so shy
it took almost a year to be able to pet her, but suddenly one day, she
nudged my hand to pet her, as if she knew that she was here to stay.
She has become very affectionate and loves to give little nose
kisses.
Though she is around eight years old now, she has a lot of
kittenish traits. She might be laying still on the rug, when suddenly
she catches sight of something behind her, she tries to grab this
intruder, and will chase it round and round, running in wild little
circles. While I know it is her tail she has conquered after a few
minutes, she will lay down again, satisfied that she has subdued this
strange invader. She loves to sit on the keyboard when I use the
computer, and as soon as she hears the sound that the computer has
been turned on, she literally flies from whatever room she is in to
"help me type!" She is a great sister to my other two cats!
