This
is our friend George. He is a very funny boy, and we are very
happy to know him. Some of his favorite activities are: waiting to be
left alone in the kitchen, climbing onto the roof of the house,
standing at the edge of the roof and calling for someone to help him
down, playing with his Cat-Trac and his "I Love Catnip" toy, grooming
his sister Gracie, fighting with his sister Gracie, going in and out
of the house every ten minutes, stretching out on the sofa, running up
and down the street at full sprint, instigating detailed arguments as
to why you should sit down and let him curl up on your lap (until he's
ready to wake up), and flinging his cat food onto the floor while
"eating" it.
George and his sister are animal shelter adoptees, and came to live
with us a couple of years after the death of our seventeen year old cat,
Rosie. George is a very loving cat, and is happy to be scratched or
rubbed or picked up by anyone who happens to come in the door. He
will jump into your lap mere seconds after you sit down, and will mold
himself into whatever position is necessary to stay there. And to his
credit, he patiently let us put some gag strap-on antlers on him
during the past holiday! He is a wonderful reminder of the happiness
we receive from our pets, especially when he looks up at you with a
big smile and his crossed eyes.
