I
was born in a litter of four and was perfectly content to live with
my mom and sister after two of the others were adopted out. My sis and
I had lots of fun. We even tried to burn the place down once by
tipping a bedroom light over onto a chaise lounge when nobody was
home. Luckily our mom hid us from the smoke. Not long after that, my
human mom let me go spend the weekend with a co-worker on what she
called a "trial run." Well, this new place was pretty fun, too. Lots
of brand new toys for me, stairs to tear up and down and more of the
same constant attention I had become accustomed to. When I went back
to live with my mom and sis (because this "trial run" guy was headed
out on vacation) my mom pitched a royal fit about having me back. She
and my sister wouldn't have anything to do with me for days.
When my newly adopted human dad returned from vacation I went to live
with him permanently and have been very happy. I've even learned how
to fetch a couple of my toys and sometimes I'll hop right into the tub
when dad is taking a shower (I just have a quick look around and then
leave). I'm quite a vocal kitty and have become quite the magnet to
any person I see. I've also learned to supervise many household
activities: folding of clothes, kitchen work, all that tap-tapping on
the computer keyboard, absolutely anything that happens at a bathroom
sink, and making beds. I don't know how he carried on before I came to
live with him.
