My
cat Matt and I are very lucky to have one another. My first encounter
with Matt was during the middle of a cold, rainy winter's night. He was
perched on a chain-link fence just outside my bedroom window, and was
making an awful sound (either a mating call, or maybe he was just
lonely). I tapped on the window to get his attention, and he took off.
The next morning, he was on the patio, and I saw him clearly for the
first time. He was thin, matted, hungry, and scared. The rest is
history.
He now lives inside with my other cats, and is the sweetest creature
that ever existed. His claim to fame is his unusual friendliness toward
people and other cats. For a former stray, this is very special. And, as
you can see, he's as gorgeous as he is sweet.
